Is this repository official? I really like the idea of a nuclear type.
Freedom is a synthetic enterprise, not a natural gift.

Ahh, I get your point, I think it could redirect by default to the human readable one but if one where to delete to only the ID should also work. Yeah, I understand the only title based URL part.
I disagree on being nicer, since it makes the URL larger and it does not follow the same pattern as everything else, but let’s agree on disagree on that part.
Well, that is the exact opposite of what OP thinks, since it’s not human meaningful if title is optional. Also I don’t see the reason why /post/
helps with readability more than /p/
.
Mmm, I see your point now. what about something like:
https://lemmy.ml/c/lemmy/p/XYZ123/Lemmy_URLs_should_be_human_meaningful
I think it’s better to keeep the /c/communityaddress
part so that only with reading the URL you can know where the discussion is taking place, also posts could be displayed with /p/
following how everything else is being displayed /c/, /u/
. but I agree with you. It would be much better.

Beautiful.
Yeah, one of the few avant garde video games there are.
IMO Dark Souls and its spawns are not horror games so the feeling you’re getting is just your heart pumping AF from having to concentrate a lot to beat an enemy, which does not happen in most horror games unless there’s an extremely hard boss/section.
Regarding your question, I don’t get scared or anxious or that shit neither with horror films or video games so I just play them and enjoy them for their story/gameplay/whatever.
Cookie Clicker.
Fair enough.
Of course you can make similar copies, the thing is that with this issue people create them without realizing it and it super common, whereas having to find a similar name it’s done on purpose.
In that case, why keep the only special character allowed?
I mean… I think there are a couple of valid examples, I think it would make more sense to create a community named /c/chickencity and there you’d ask for places to eat, though. But let’s say it’s a valid example, in my opinion the pros are more than the cons. How many copies of communities can be created by adding the _ and how many communities will need to phrase their address in a different way because of it?
Example?
That’s the only character allowed, so everything else is already banned. If you try to create a community it says “lowercase, underscores and no spaces”.
Sure, I’ll open one if anyone (specially you and Dessalines) think it makes sense, so if you think it’s worth continuing the discussion there I’ll do it.
That precisely is one of the things I found it irrelevant for, what do you want to use a word separator for? It makes sense in names because there can be a million users, but with communities it’s not the same, we don’t need 5 communities with similar names.
Imagine this: /c/league_of_legends /c/leageof_legends /c/league_oflegends /c/leagueoflegends I just don’t see the point and I don’t think it makes it so much easier to read, since anyway most of the time you will be reading the display name, not the address.
True, too.
It would be nice to modify the front end so that it looks better for that.
